Summary
Manage multi-stakeholder process (involving representatives from businesses, civil society, academia and government) to update and/or develop additional guidance for the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Scope 3 Standard (Corporate Value Chain Accounting and Reporting Standard) and Scope 3 Calculation Guidance (Technical Guidance for Calculating Scope 3 Emissions) • Draft new Greenhouse Gas Protocol guidance on scope 3 accounting, building on the Scope 3 Standard and Scope 3 Calculation Guidance • Conduct research and interviews with stakeholders on corporate GHG accounting and reporting, including scope 3 emissions, to identify topics for updates or new guidance and develop proposals for GHG Protocol guidance • Engage and manage relationships with wide range of stakeholders from business, government, NGOs, and academia as part of global multi-stakeholder process • Review guidance on scope 3 accounting developed by external organizations as part of “Built on GHG Protocol” review service • Draft issue briefs, blogs, or other materials as needed as part of the guidance development process and for the GHG Protocol website • Prepare and disseminate outreach materials, presentations and publications • Coordinate closely with the Science Based Targets team to insure harmonization across initiatives • Support other Greenhouse Gas Protocol projects and activities as needs arise

Description
• Master’s Degree in environmental science, environmental policy, or related field • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant, full-time work experience • Familiarity and knowledge of Greenhouse Gas Protocol standards, corporate GHG accounting and reporting, scope 3 accounting for different sectors, life cycle assessment (LCA), and related subjects is preferred • Excellent analytical and research skills • Excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills • Experience working in multi-stakeholder processes is preferred • Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and work under tight deadlines
